We are the only true performing arts preschool - teaching violin and piano (with note reading), ballet, tap, acting, singing, math concepts and literature & writing skills - in the Pacific Northwest! Sequentially, we use the skills taught in the performing arts to teach core curriculum areas.
We don’t just teach the alphabet – we play music!

Performing Arts Education – Using the Arts to Educate!
Performing Arts Classes meet Tuesdays & Thursdays from 9:00-11:30 from Sept. 2016 to May 2017.
Music Immersion Classes meet Mondays & Wednesdays from 9:00-11:30 from Sept. 2017 to Mary 2018. Additional class(es) will be added based on enrollment. We follow the Puyallup School District schedule regarding holidays and breaks.
Age: 3 ½ through 5 years old. Students should be potty trained and 3 ½ by June 1, 2017. ( For the 2017-18 school year)
Cost: $135 per month for the 2-day program; $250 per month for the 4-day program. $75 registration fee due upon enrollment.
· 5% discount for more then one child from a family.
· 5% discount for full year payment.
· Tuition is monthly fee for 9 months. Holidays and 5-week months are included.
· Violin Rental/Purchase. Violin study starts in January. We have violins available for rent at $25 per quarter. Other options will be provided so families can choose the option that best suits them.
· Ballet shoes & tap shoes. Again, we will gladly give help and guidance as needed.
Location: Puyallup Children’s Theater & Music Academy located at 300 N. Meridian, Puyallup WA 98371.
Second Year: Our program accommodates both first and second year students.
Philosophy: The performing arts are taught in a fun, non-competitive manner that also engages all the brain processes that boost and stimulate learning in all areas beyond the arts. We teach the arts, then use the arts to teach.
Additionally: Arts based learning builds self-confidence; supportive social interaction; and development of large and small muscles. Puyallup Preschool of the Performing Arts also includes field trips and special events with parent participation. There are two scheduled school performances in which the students can demonstrate their new skills!
Health: Proof of up-to-date immunization is required before the child may enter school. For the health of your child and others, please keep you child home if there are any signs of illness.
Dress: Please dress your child in comfortable clothes and rubber soled shoes that they can move in. Remember to label all sweaters, jackets, etc.
Snacks: Students will be scheduled to bring a healthy, sugar-free snack to share. Good table manners are always encouraged.
Conferences: At least two conferences will be scheduled between the teacher and parents during the school year. Additional conferencing may be scheduled if requested.
Music & Dance Instruction: Video of the music or dance concept being taught will be posted online, so parents can practice with their children at home.
Approximate Daily Schedule:
9:00-9:15: Small muscle building activities.
9:15-9:35: Opening circle time including basic music skills review, story, introduction to academic concept, etc.
9:40-10:00: "Academic" work on letters, patterns, math skills.
10:00-10:30: Music/Dance in small groups (piano, violin, singing)
10:50-11:15: Movement and drama activities in large group..
11:15-11:30: Closing Circle (Show & Tell; Child of the Week, etc.)
Parents will be given a schedule regarding which shoes and/or instrument is needed on a given day. Snack schedule will go out monthly. We will gladly work with parents to accommodate any food allergies. We are trained to accommodate children with diabetes. Please contact to school regarding other medical issues.
