NO REFUND POLICY: We have a blanket no refund policy. Most of our programs have a waiting list, so tuition assures that your child will have a spot in our camp or production. It also covers the cost of supplies, staffing and show contract/rights.  Additionally, once a show is cast, we depend on everyone. Having someone drop out after casting, results in a great deal of work - as we have to recast the vacant part. We also can't fill the spot with someone on the waiting list, as the show has already been cast. Please be sure the classes you choose fit your schedule and that your child wants to act/sing/dance. In the event of an Act of God, resulting in cancellation, we will do our best to work with you - taking into account how far into the quarter the program is at the time of cancellation. Since most refund requests result from concerns regarding show casting, here is some additional information about the casting process. Click on the icon to download the pdf. 

DISCIPLINE POLICY: All students enrolled at Puyallup Children's Theater & Music Academy are expected to behave respectfully towards the teachers and the other students, as well the facility and related equipment. We do not tolerate bullying or any other type of intimidation towards our teachers or other students. We strive to make our classes as fun and uplifting as possible. If this is not the case, please tell us and we will deal swiftly with the situation. Any student not following the rules of Puyallup Children's Theater & Music Academy will be asked to leave class for that day. If behavior does not improve in a timely fashion, the student will be asked to leave Puyallup Children's Theater & Music Academy and all monies are non-refundable.


SCHOOL YEAR CLASSES:  (KinderTheater; KinderDance; Workshops, etc.) Due to space limitations, parent observation is not encouraged unless a child needs additional support, due to a medical or other issue. If this is the case,  please let us know and we will gladly work with you. As the space is open, the class can be overheard from the lobby. This policy is in place to ensure both the safety of our students - as we have limited space - and to help the teacher to have your child's full attention. With fewer people present, we have found that the children retain much better and are less distracted during class time. This is especially true for 3-8 year olds.

PRODUCTIONS: For following production rehearsals and auditions (Bound for Broadway; Teen Troupe; Let's Act, Next Step, etc.) the amount of parent observation will be at the instructor's discretion, based on enrollment numbers, goals for the rehearsal, etc. Generally, parent observation is not permitted. If a child has a medical need or other diagnosis that would require a parent present, please speak with us prior to the first class/rehearsal so we can agree upon an appropriate accommodation.

SUMMER CAMPS: Parents are welcome to stay for the first 5 minutes (of the first day) or so of camp, while children are arriving. Once we start camp, however, we request that parents leave. We work really hard to make camp a team building experience and observers make that really challenging. If your child has a medical concern, that would make leaving him or her for several hours difficult, please call the theater and we will gladly work with you to try and accommodate your child's needs. (This policy applies to ALL summer camp programs, including 1 Day Dance Camps.)


Puyallup Children’s Theater, or its subsidiaries,  are unable to dispense any over-the-counter or prescription medication during any of our programs. Parents/guardians are always welcome to sign a child out, give them the medication and sign them back in. Insulin pumps and  related are permitted; as are epipens. As Spring Quarter 2020 (April 13, 2020), we do require up-to-date immunization records for all children enrolled in our programs. PLEASE NOTE: As of this writing, sunscreen is considered an over-the-counter drug by the FDA  and may not be brought to any of our programs. Please feel free to call or email if you have any questions about this policy. We are always open to finding an accommodation, if possible.


We will only keep any belongings that are left behind, following program completion or a withdrawl, for 30 days. After that, items will be disposed of. 


 We do not allow video taping or photography during our performances. Due to copyright restrictions with many of our shows, it is not allowed per the rights agreement - so we make it a blanket policy. On productions that we hold the copyright on, we do in-house video taping which is then made available for download.

 On the final/only performance, we do bring students out at the end for a final bow and to allow parents to take pictures. We do formal cast pictures of our productions, which are made available free of charge on our Facebook page. (Note: The photo albums on Facebook are not always accessible on mobile devices.) If you do not wish to have your child potentially photographed by other parents, please let us know and we will not have your child in the post-bow pictures. 

PICK-UP PASSWORD: In order to expedite our drive-thru pick up process, please include a "Password for Pick-up" (found on the parent portal of the registration site) that can be used to verify that you have authorized whoever is picking up you child to do so. 


Unless pre-arranged, it is expected that all students will be picked-up from their class or rehearsal within 10 minutes of the end of the class. A late fee of $1 per minute will be charged for every minute past the 10-minute window for late pick-ups. We understand that traffic can be challenging, but expect all children be picked up promptly, so please plan accordingly. We do not have staff available to adequately supervise children that have not been picked up. All fees must be paid prior to the performance/s.  For extended care, the late fee begins at 6:01. There is no 10 minute window for extended care pick-up.


If Puyallup Schools are closed, due to weather, all lessons and classes for the day will be cancelled.

If there is a Puyallup Schools late start due to weather, Pre-school will cancelled.  Please watch our website, Facebook page or check your email for updates regarding other classes. 

For Saturday and Sunday classes, rehearsals, performances - please watch our website, Facebook page or check your email for updates regarding possible cancellation or rescheduling due to weather. 

Other closures: Thanksgiving week; Christmas break (following Puyallup School District); 
Spring Break - closed for quarterly classes; Spring Break Camp in session,

Puyallup School District; July 4th. All other holidays we hold classes as usual.
